Caroline Wake

Dr Caroline Wake is Lecturer and ARC DECRA Fellow at the University of NSW. Her DECRA project, Restoring the Contemporary: Remembering Live Art at the Performance Space, examines the Performance Space archive as a microcosm of how contemporary performance practices have evolved over the past thirty years. Other research interests include art made by, with and about refugees and asylum seekers; theories and practices of witnessing; and theatres of the real. She is the co-editor, with Bryoni Trezise, of Visions and Revisions: Performance, Memory, Trauma (Copenhagen: Museum Tusculanum Press, 2013) as well as the author of articles in Theatre Research International, New Theatre Quarterly, Modern Drama, Text & Performance Quarterly, and History & Memory. She is also a long-time reviewer for RealTime arts magazine.
